Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore realistic first-person shooter (FPS) game with a steep learning curve. Compared to other games in this genre, realism is expressed without the use of HUD elements and complex motion controls. Plus, there aren’t any visual aids to mark targets or enemies and an overlay displaying health status and available ammo is also missing.
As a mercenary stranded in the middle of a battlefield, life becomes complicated. You take part in raids and your only task is to find valuable loot to help you Escape from Tarkov. Here are a few guidelines to help prepare you for your first contact with AI “Scav’s” and players eager to get a hold of your loot.

Familiarize Yourself with the Controls
Without hud markings and visual feedback, all you have left is spatial perception. The usual Hotkeys like “R” for Reload and “TAB” for inventory are still available, but functions like step-less ducking are not possible. To have to hold “C” and scroll to hide behind cover. Use (ALT+T) to check your mag and (Shift+T) to check the chamber.
Choose the Right Equipment
Before starting a raid, choose your equipment. The amount of space you have in your secure container depends on which edition of the game you are using. When your character dies, you don’t lose the items in your container. For your first raid, it’s a good idea to take a pistol and some ammo. It’s also a good idea to wear a vest and carry a backpack to hold your loot. Remember, magazines must be in your vest or pocket for you to use them to reload.

Keep a medkit for health, bandages to prevent blood loss and a splint in case of a bone fracture in your secure container. Keep a supply of painkillers to use when you are hit. Choosing the right equipment can be crucial – if you lose you could lose everything. To avoid this tragedy, play against bots, offline for practice before taking on live opponents.
Try out the movements and learn how to use your gun, knife and any other weapons. Get comfortable with the key combinations to become a crack shot and learn where to find the stuff you need to win. Your tactical creativity is limitless in Escape from Tarkov.

Looting
The looting feature is a fav with fans. Your main task in the game is to find and collect loot. Other players and local “scavs” make this very difficult. Finding military loot in green boxes is much easier, but looting from enemies is much more profitable. This is where you can find the best equipment and the most useful weapons. Once you gain a bit of experience, you’ll be able to walk away with an entire weapons arsenal, which will come in very handy in your next raid. Don’t ignore innocent items like chocolate and lemonade, they can be very useful for trading
Final Word
To succeed in this game, you need to pay attention to details and hone your battle skills. You should also beef up your geographical skills. If you are playing on a team, use teamwork. And finally – don’t get discouraged!
