The various games of Dragon Ball Z shifted and changed over the years endlessly in order to achieve the right balance between incredible fight scenes and great humor the saga knows how to deliver. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot might deliver us a memorable, humorous and extraordinary experience. From the inception of the Japanese anime cult classic that has captivated many people, there have been over a dozen attempts at making games that will resemble and bring anime to life. Most of these games primarily focus on simulating the gripping, high-octane fight scenes that occur in the series. A small percentage of these games actually focus on the more subdued, ordinary, humorous lives that the characters lead and for the better part, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot falls in that small percentage.

This game is going to be released on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and for Windows PCs in the year 2020. This game is mostly an action role playing game that does its own take on the saga that is the Dragon Ball Z story, and this happens through the lens of the character called Goku. Goku is the dude with the spikes for a hairstyle is descended from a legendary family tree of alien warriors called Saiyans – even the name of this game, Kakarot, pays homage to this legendary family line as it is Goku’s Saiyan name. As the animated series progresses, Goku becomes the main guardian of the Earth and its inhabitants from alien threats.

As other games have already done, this game will also bring the same faces that were seen in the animated series such as the villains like Napa, Frieza and others that will be a treat for the fans of the series. But the most intriguing part of the game is the multitude of activities that can happen outside the confines of the battle. This game consists of a set of big levels that perform the role of smaller worlds which can be explored by the player. This means that you can venture out for a little free exploration or go around on the Nimbus cloud of Goku’s.

It is possible for you to go through the towns in these worlds and strike up conversations with the characters there and even go on a tangent while you are in the area by engaging in a small expedition or two. The ability to do the mundane things like going fishing or hunting is the USP of this game.

Rather than offering up an over polished game like most other developers do, the Japanese developers of this game, Bandai Namco and Cyberconnect2 look to give the gamers the experience of being inside the animated series for real, inclusive of the humor and the kickass fights that are part of the package.

The creator of the series looked to champion the mundane, day to day activities that occurred in the world of Dragon Z alongside the memorable battles that they faced and also include some of the jokes that Goku delivered as well. Many games have tried to bring the fighting and the mundane aspect of the game together but ended up championing the fighting aspect a little more. Kakarot is different in that it gives a lot of space for the characters to breathe and be themselves, and this makes this game attractive.
