With the advertised 1 billion gun arsenal of Borderlands 3, returning favorites and new villains, there’s a lot for players to love. The game’s release date of Sept. 13, 2019 was tweeted on April 1, leading many to fear that the game’s creators were pranking them, but the announcement has since been verified.
How & where to pre-order?
Pre-orders are currently being accepted and those that order the standard edition of the game will receive the Gold Weapons Skins Pack. In addition to a season pass, gamers can choose from versions that include Deluxe, Super Deluxe and a Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition. A digital and physical version is available for PC, PS4 and XB1.
The game will feature multiple planets, great music, an array of must-have vehicles, futuristic bandits, guns with legs – and the vending machines are back. Players will have four new players from which to choose and new villains are also on the agenda – the Calypso twins, Troy and Tyrene – at least one of which may be a Siren.
Vault Hunters Brick, Lilith, Mordecai and Roland will be returning, along with a cast of characters that includes Ellie, Kincaid, Lady Aurelia, Marcus, Maya, Sir Hammerlock, Tannis, Tiny Tina and others.
After careful scrutiny, a variety of clues about Borderland 3 can be discerned from the trailers by the highly observant. It appears as if players will be fighting the ‘Children of the Vault’ that are brainwashing Pandora. That beguiling power may be transmittable over broadcast radio and Lilith may have turned to the darkness.
The Gameplay
Borderlands 3 gameplay appears to revolve around the Eridian Relic and female Psychos have arrived. Amara the Siren with her Kali-like arms appears to have multiple ways in which to use her powers that doesn’t rely entirely on long-range attacks.
After years of teasing, talk and rumors from 2K and Gearbox, Borderlands 3 is a reality. It promises the return of favorite characters, new heroes and villains, and novel new worlds and mysteries to explore. The vehicles have received exhilarating new upgrades and even more exciting – over 1 billion guns.
