Borderlands 3 was only recently announced and the trailer, much to the delight of 2K fans everywhere, made some pretty big revelations as to what Borderlands gamers should expect. According to the trailer, Borderlands 3 is set to feature your favorite remaining characters but will also include a few new ones. You can also expect new planets in this iteration of the role-playing shooter game. Here are some more things that you need to know about Borderlands 3:

Players will not compete for loot
Unlike in Borderlands 2, players that do not want to loot will not have to compete for loot any longer. Every player will be issued individual loot drops which will give the player a lot more capability especially when playing in a group.
Multiplayer ability
Borderlands 3 will consist of co-op. Although it has not been confirmed yet, gamers might also have cross-play to look forward to so that they can invite friends on other platforms to join you.
The Vault Hunters
You might already be familiar with the original Vault Hunters, that is, Roland, Mordecai, Brick, and Lilith. However, Borderlands 3 will also introduce some new characters alongside the old ones that include Moze the Gunner, Zane the Operative, Amara the Siren, as well as FL4K the Beastmaster.

All of the new characters will have different skill trees, customization options, as well as their individual abilities. For instance, Amara is a siren that possesses mystical abilities while Moze has the ability to beckon mechs. Some other characters that you should expect to encounter in Borderlands 3 include Rhys (originally from Tales from the Borderlands), Sir Hammerlock, Marcus, Tina, Ellie, Moxxi, as well as a few familiar villains and enemies.
The Villains and enemies
As you can expect, there will be plenty of villains to keep you busy and entertained. Old villains the Calypso Twins are still the ones to watch out for. The Calypso Twins will be joined by plenty of mutants, psychopaths, mechs, and monsters. However, there will still be returning vermin such as spider ants, fire-breathing dinosaurs, and varkids to keep you entertained.
Different settings
Other than Pandora, expect to move between different settings, universes, and planets where you will explore new territories with its share of villains to fight off. For instance, Maya’s new base of operations seems to be based in a setting that resembles Feudal Japan that many assume to be her childhood home.
