Remedy, a shining beacon of what is having a clear view and executing it properly is suppose to look like. They did misstep with Quantum Break, but I'm more than happy to see them come back strong. Since Alan Wake almost 10 years ago, Remedy has been a pretty good standard for AA games that others had to hold themselves to. Control is a really good game, nice bland of genre from Sci-fi to Supernatural and with Metroidvania influences. It reminds me of the Sci-fi romps we watched and loved when we were younger. They executed it so perfectly, the exploration in the mini sandboxes is fun due to the great level design. The combat is engaging and fluid, and all of it is broken up by puzzle sections which are unique. And all that while being visually stunning. With uninspiring AAA games filing the market in recent years, I find myself gravitating towards the AA and indie sphere which is filled with interesting games and passionate developers. I recommend this game.
