However, they can always choose to remain ghosts and continue to roam the world, haunting their loved ones and causing mischief.

Becoming a ghost means opening a brand new chapter in your sim’s life. Ghosts in The Sims 4: Life & Death expansion can develop their abilities over time, engaging in both good and malicious activities. These interactions earn Ghosts essences of Fear or Goodwill, which can be traded for Simoleons. Grim Reaper has always been an iconic character in the series. This time, our sims will have the opportunity to see what his job entails. As a Grim Reaper, your Sim will be responsible for guiding souls to the afterlife and maintaining the balance between life and death. With this new career path, your sims can truly become masters of life and death. They can also choose to be morticians…so whether you want to deal with death on a more or less supernatural basis, the choice is yours! Between your duties, you can explore ancient Crypts and build your Thanatology skill, working towards the new Ghost Historian Aspiration.
If you find the macabre intriguing, your Sim might enjoy bonding with a Pet Crow or collecting the lost Tarot Cards of Lady Ravendancer Goth. It’s worth noting that these activities have a certain allure for Sims with the new Macabre trait. This feature alone adds richer storylines and deeper engagement for players who enjoy a darker undertone in their gameplay.
New layers of a family life
Grieving is a personal experience, and the Life and Death expansion offers a nuanced approach to this aspect of the game. Different Sims will grieve in various ways, shaped by their personalities and relationships with the deceased. The expansion introduces four types of grief, allowing you to create customizable Grieving Rituals. In life, Sims can create Wills to manage their estate posthumously. This feature allows them to pass down Heirlooms, and distribute Simoleons.
