Lost Ember is an animal adventure game by Mooneye Studios, which is going to be released on 22nd November 2020. You can play this game on PS4, Xbox, GOG, and Steam. There could be a Nintendo version in the making too, but let’s wait for the official press release on this.
The game is set up in a world that is the natural habitat of wild animals. Your character will be a powerful wolf who has magical powers to take control of other wild animals. You will experience the beauty of nature and wildlife through the entire game. Your character, i.e., a wolf, will roam around the destroyed civilization and try to figure out what went wrong with human beings.
According to the trailer, you will have a third-person gameplay experience with primarily a wolf, birds, insects and fish, among other creatures. These creatures will have the ability to reach those locations which are inaccessible for the wolf.
As for the initial trailer, we can pinpoint the setup of the game as the aftermath of human extinction. There will be ruins and ancient buildings. Human bones will be scattered around the playing world. There are rivers, waterfalls, huge mountains, glaciers, rain forests, and other beautiful locations that will blow your mind away.
The game will have small as well as complex puzzles to solve for which you need to enter into a variety of creatures. The main character, wolf, is an emphatic animal who is curious about things. You will also notice human spirits from time to time, guiding the wolf to reach another level of the game.
This game revolves around the theory of “all life is connected spiritually.” You will be able to see the world with different sets of eyes and be able to compare the perspective of all the creatures- dead or alive. There is no combat playing in Lost Ember. It’s more about narrative gameplay. There are several chapters in the game, and some of them are open-ended too.
In order to explore the world in its full depth, you will find several collectibles in the game. You can possess any animal that you find and explore the world with their perspective. The landscape is beautiful, and the graphics are good too. You will find yourself in wildlife and will love the entire atmosphere.
If you are a wildlife lover, you should play this game. There are lovely terrains, and caves if you love to go deeper into the game exploration. The caves contain secret collectibles that you can use to enhance your sense of the game’s narrative.
Mooneye Studios has done a terrific job with the development of this game, and we all are waiting for its first release. The release date was pushed back due to some technical reasons, and let’s hope this time; they release it on the official release date.
