February 21, 2024, is the day when the long-awaited trailer for the expansion. The video features a plethora of new bosses we will have to face in The Land of Shadow. Led by Empyrean Miquella, players are drawn to the Land of Shadow, hidden by the Erdtree where the goddess Marika once trod. Within these enigmatic realms, they unravel the world’s concealed truths.

Players will visit a completely new zone that can be freely roamed and explored. During their journey, players will acquire new weapons and pieces of equipment that will help them defeat powerful enemies and bosses. In an interview with Hidetaka Miyazaki, it was revealed that players will enter a completely new area that will take about as much space as the base game’s map.
