In this article, we are going to take a detailed look at Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and let you know whether this game stands up to the hype created by previous games in the series or whether it will disappoint you. The game is all set to be released in 2020, and as such, Lego has been displaying a pre-release version over at E3. But contrary to expectations, the game has not been setting the stage on fire, especially considering the success that the other titles in the series have had.

The franchise for Lego Star Walks is pretty old, with the first game in the series having come out in the year 2005, and this is older than the number of years that Disney has had ownership of the Star Wars Movie Franchise. The first game that released was a very successful title, which led to LEGO adopting the same type of gameplay for many other movie franchise-based titles spanning from Harry Potter to Marvel titles.
This game breaks the mould that existed with the older LEGO games, which had similar assets and gameplay feel – and there is new life that is breathed on this game, all thanks to Warner Bros and their compelling story line. Keep in mind, the game that we were able to review was only demoed to us, and we did not get time to play it ourselves.
This game lets you play all of the nine worlds that the films have boldly depicted over the years, in any order you’d like. This means that you could either go through the game chronologically in sequence with the movie releases, or you can have at it randomly. Chronology is very important for any game player, and so depending on which world you play the game, the characters and settings will adapt to the timeline accurately. The cool part is that you are free to explore whichever planet you’d like to because the complete game is open-world based with no restrictions enforced by the game developers.

The demo looks unreal with impressive graphics and stunning scenery, and the camera angles have been redone for this game, making everything look much more realistic. Being a LEGO game, you can pretty much break anything you see, and you can drive a ton of vehicles in this game. With the many characters that are present, you will be able to have random interactions with most of them, without any scripted action being evident.
If you are looking forward to having a good fight in the game, then there is good news for you. The combat modes have been upgraded in the game, enabling you to shoot at enemies randomly for the first time, without having the weapons locked on to them. This will test your aiming skills for sure. The reason we were not able to play and review the game ourselves is that this game will be coming out only in 2020 after the movie release, so you’d have to wait a while to play it.
