The Last Remnant Remastered (coming to Nintendo Switch)

In E3 2019, Square Enix announced the release of the remastered version of its title The Last Remnant. The classic RPG redone under a new unreal engine comes to Nintendo Switch with better visuals, graphics, and content up-leveling. For gamers in the western, it’s time to explore the Remnants world.

Like all other Square Enix productions, the game’s main strengths include its exquisite artwork and immersive music developed by its revered artist Tsuyoshi Sekito. In all facets of the game, expect scintillating scenes elevated by the unique design of characters.

To combat challenges in the original release in Xbox One, Square Enix worked on the combat system and storyline to develop an enriching game with a worldwide appeal.

With enhanced graphical settings, new game plus mode and a turbo mode players can expect exciting gameplay. The turbo mode allows for swiftness giving players the autonomy to strategize attacks from afar. And to make the game interesting, players can use the new game plus option to carry their loot from the previous levels.

For lovers of action-packed RPGs, the remnant remastering takes them on the edge of pursuit for survival. Aliens, monsters and warring factions denote all levels of the Last Remnant, putting players in pulsating fights. The only thing that can stop the bloody fights is a sacrifice.

What the Last Remnants Gameplay Entails

In the last remnant, you play as the protagonist, Rush Sykes. In a turn-based combat system, you select your next attack zone, with each zone manned by at least five appalling enemies. Or you can choose an option of combating a throng of enemies if you want more action.

The skills and characteristics of the enemies are unique, meaning your set for dynamic battling demanding differing skill-sets. Fortunately, you can learn the tricks and techniques as you progress to prepare for more long-drawn-out battling.

Players earn action points and more wins tip up the morale bar. With an array of upgradeable weaponry, you’re always alert or enemies will strike down.

The Plot

The last remnant features fictional characters from the humanoid race. The characters are only tame when under the control of a person. Any independent remnants spawn into monsters causing unending bloodshed in the cities of the world.

With high-profile people in the world owning the monsters, it’s totalitarian governance with the leadership unnerving to do away with the monsters. Until you (The Protagonist) puzzles out the source of the remnants, there is no peace.
