Set for release on September 10, 2019, Gears 5 is a sequel to the Gears of Wars gaming series. The Gears 5 titling is different from the Gears of War 4 titling, with the Xbox marketing team veering away from the consistent “of war” titling. The Xbox team cites the tuning out of the title by many gamers as the reason for titling changes.
