Everything You Need to Know About Doom Eternal

November 22, 2019, seems to be so far yet so close. In a sequel of the hugely successful doom 2016, id tech7 will return to release the 2019 Game Critics Award-Winning Doom Eternal for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch.

Storyline

First revealed in the Bethesda’s E3 2018 presentation, Doom Eternal features the spawning of the DoomSlayer as the protagonist. With the earth dominated by demonic forces intending to wipe the human race away from the planet, Doom Slayer has to use all his weaponry to counter the raucous beasts.

In a set up where a player takes on the role of the doom slayer, the Doom Eternal is five times more thrilling than your standard first-person shooter game. The game is full of the slayer’s grand combats to pick health and ammo and wipe out his enemies. And with the possession of a stocked accessory of ammunition from combat shotguns, heavy cannon, rocket launcher, Plasma Rifle to Ballista the executions never seem to end.

Just like in the Doom 2016, Doom eternal will have you immersed in inescapable arena encounters, facing attacks from all corners, but after each battle, you can launch to higher levels of more intense fighting.

In Doom Eternal, the Doom Slayer is quicker and more ferocious but has more intelligence and what will thrill is at one point the Doom slayer gets entangled in a mess of burning cities, lava lakes, with no escape routes.

In Doom Eternal expect to encounter new bloodthirsty demons, ravenous for the flesh, twice as many as those in Doom 2016. From the Marauder to the Doom Hunter and the reintroduced Pain Elemental, Arachnotron, and the Archvile monsters. Each monster has distinctive strengths, and after every triumph, more vicious demons turn up.

The demons have a new feature;”destructible demons” where they weaken as the injuries increase. The game is captivating and features an FPS, where you get submerged into the battle. The new feature of a “meathook” is part of the tactic to give you an overwhelming experience, as it spikes you towards the enemy.

The new doom slayer is agile and does not bow out of battles or seek cover, but leaps and sprints towards the enemy in cheetah-like motion. And if the Doom slayer capitulates during the fighting, he re-spawns at the same point. 

Playing Mode

The Doom Eternal is fun galore and features an asymmetric multiplayer mode known as the invasion where new players can join in as enemies and fight the slayer. The leading player can, however, switch off and play alone.
