Outward is a fantasy Role Playing Game that features components of survival. Outward is a PC open world game, which means that players can roam about freely through the various settings of the virtual world.
Because it is an open world game, Outward players will have considerable freedom to choose when or how the approach various tasks and objectives. As a survival game, the adventures will be primarily defined by hunger, thirst, and exhaustion so success will be based on the player’s ability to move within these parameters.

What to look forward to in Outward
Everyone starts off with nothing
Unlike most of the role-playing games that you may have encountered in the past, Outward starts off a little differently. In outward, you will not be forced to take part in a quest as a heroic figure. Here, all the players are commoners and one of the very first things that they have to do is pay off their debt so as to maintain their accommodations or dwelling spaces.
In the beginning stages, all players start off penniless. However, as the game progresses and as more challenges are won, a player can grow to become anything that they wish to be within the game.
Possibility of progression
As mentioned above, as the game progresses so do the players. Players can advance their characters through a series of training in order to become stronger and more powerful. Throughout the fantasy world of Aurai, participants can learn various skills through different skill trainers. The trainers are located at various spots and players must master the skills taught by them if they want to progress.
Progress can also be attained by overcoming failure and adversities. For instance, if a common gets captured and kept as a slave, that player will have to find a way to escape from slavery. Once done, it leaves the player stronger as he or she will be able to acquire special powers such as magical skills as well as gain access to weapons that they can use to survive and defeat existing enemies.

Players never die
In Outwards, players never die. However, they lose time if they fail, which means that time is taken away for healing, resting, repairing your gear, and so on and so forth. As such, time is the single most important currency in Outward as it can hold you back or allow you to progress faster than the enemies.
