Our favourite Gamescom 2025 announcements

This year’s Gamescom, the biggest European festival of games brought lots of long-awaited and promising titles. Let’s take a look at our favourite Gamescom 2025 announcements, including big names such as World of Warcraft, Resident Evil, and Call of Duty, to name a few!

Lords of the Fallen 2

The first trailer for the Lords of the Fallen sequel showcases a dark, intense world filled with eerie visuals: eyeballs, corpses, twisting vines, and unsettling tentacle scenes. A Lamp Bearer receives a motivational speech before a fiery sword descends from the heavens, courtesy of an angelic yet ominous figure. Launching in 2026, the game will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Ghost of Yotei

Those who waited for Ghost of Yotei received some cool footage and good news. Sony and Sucker Punch Productions have revealed that Ghost of Yōtei will receive free Legends multiplayer co-op DLC in 2026. Gamescom’s trailer showcased stunning visuals that surely will captivate hearts of players.While details remain scarce, the trailer offers a glimpse of what’s to come as excitement builds for the action-packed sequel, set to launch on October 2, 2025 on PlayStation 5.

World of Warcraft Midnight

We finally had a chance to see the long-awaited cinematic for Midnight, the next expansion pack for World of Warcraft. The stunning animation featured Xal’atath attacking the capital city of Blood Elves. Gamescom 2025 unveiled more exciting details about the upcoming expansion, featuring a housing system, a new playable allied race, and thrilling new dungeons.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Warner Bros. and Telltale Games bring us a fresh take on LEGO Batman, featuring an incredible voice cast, including Matt Berry as Bane. The game chronicles Batman’s journey from his origins to his battle against Gotham’s criminal underworld. Expect iconic characters like Catwoman, Joker, and the League of Shadows. Coming in 2026, it’s available for wishlisting now.

Monster Hunter Wilds x Final Fantasy 14 Crossover

A teaser trailer hints at exciting crossover content between Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 14, with full details arriving next month. The new content is set to release in October.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 

Set in the year 2035, the story unfolds in a dark and dystopian world. The narrative follows David Mason, a familiar face from Black Ops 2, as he leads his team through intense battles across various locations. From the chaos of Nicaragua and the streets of Los Angeles to the futuristic landscapes of Tokyo, Alaska, Angola, and the fictional Avalon from Black Ops 6, the journey takes players into a reality where the rules of physics no longer apply and anything seems possible.

Road Kings

Step into the ultimate truck-driving experience with Road Kings, a next-gen simulation game by Saber Interactive. Start as a rookie trucker and work your way up, hauling cargo across the Southern U.S., managing jobs, trailers, and routes. From Jacksonville’s busy streets to Savannah’s historic corners, navigate challenges like weather and hazards. Launching in 2026, it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Silent Hill f

The next installment of the iconic horror franchise will take place in Japan. The game is going to be released September 25, 2025 on PC,  PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S. The presented trailed featured gnarly monsters and eerie atmosphere that will surely keep players at the edge of their seats. 

Vampire the Masquerade 2: Bloodlines

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, the highly anticipated sequel in the legendary vampire series, transports players to a dark and atmospheric Seattle. Here, rival vampire clans clash in a shadowy, supernatural struggle for power.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV

The Warhammer universe expands with Dawn of War IV: a real-time strategy game featuring four unique factions battling for dominance on the World of Cronus. Arriving on PC in 2026, it promises intense, tactical gameplay for fans of the series.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

The latest trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword dives into a supernatural version of Kyoto, filled with brutal swordplay, lightning attacks, and fearsome Genma enemies. A sinister, cackling antagonist adds to the dark tone. The game is slated for release in 2026.

Arknights: Endfield

Arknights: Endfield, a free-to-play action RPG from Hypergryph, offers tactical combat and a grand adventure. The gameplay trailer showcases its visual style and strategic battles. Expected to release soon on PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.

Europa Universalis V

Prepare for a new era of grand strategy with Europa Universalis V. Build and shape your empire through history when it launches on PC on November 4, 2025. Wishlist and pre-orders are now open.

Fallout Season 2

Gamescom isn’t just about games, it’s also a stage for TV shows inspired by the gaming world. During the Opening Night Live, we caught up with the cast and crew of the highly anticipated Fallout TV series. They shared thrilling updates about Season 2, including its Vegas setting and a sneak peek at the teaser trailer. Set to premiere on December 17, 2025, the series will be available to stream on Prime Video.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLC: The Order of the Giants

Indiana Jones returns in The Great Circle DLC, featuring cults, ancient artifacts, and thrilling action. The DLC drops on September 4, while the full game will come to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

World of Tanks 2.0

The next evolution of World of Tanks delivers chaotic, explosive action. The 2.0 update is set to release on September 3.

Cronos: The New Dawn

Gamescom unveiled exciting news about Bloober Team’s latest project, Cronos: The New Dawn. This intense third-person survival horror game promises a gripping and brutal experience. Set to launch on September 5, 2025, it will be available on PlayStation 5,  Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Legacy of the Forge

Launching on September 9, Legacy of the Forge is a second story DLC that introduces lots of fun features to the game. This expansion will let us become a master of Kuttenberg’s blacksmith guild and complete brand-new story quests. Morever, we will be able to personalise our own forge with private quarters.
