We can expect the typical 19th-century elegance mixed with eerie or straight-up terrifying creatures. In this alternate reality, humans are capable of using magic. Thanks to these skills, they managed to build a magical city, the titular Nightingale.
The tranquil realms were eventually ravaged by a catastrophic event known as The Pale. This is where our story begins, amidst the chaos and turmoil. As survivors scattered across the realms, our mission is to navigate the treacherous path and find our way back home.
Build a home in this strange world
Nightingale is all about crafting and exploring the realms through portals. To survive in this rather strange world, players will be able to build a settlement. That will require collecting the abundant resources of the Faewild to craft and construct your very own homestead. Build sturdy shelters, ingenious traps, and elaborate furniture to create a haven amidst the wilderness.
You’ll also be able to collaborate with other Realmwalkers to overcome formidable foes, build thriving communities, and establish trade networks. Join forces with friends or strangers to conquer the Faewild together.
The world of Nightingale is made of various smaller realms: unwelcoming swamps, deserts, and lush forests or meadows. These procedurally generated worlds can be visited via Realmwalking. It’s a powerful ability that allows you to traverse the portal network between realms. Discover hidden portals, navigate the treacherous void, and unlock new territories to explore!
Shape your adventure
There will also be a possibility to collect Realm Cards: By completing these sets, you can seize control of your journey. Harness their power to shape the specifics of your next destination, from its challenges, enemies, and resources to the very essence of its environment.
Thanks to that, we will be able to either avoid unwanted features or add those we need for our adventures. The card system is meant to shape the procedurally generated realms and throw some life into them. We learned that these cards will be craftable.

As of the current state of the game, there will not be a Player versus Player (PvP) mode or any PvP features available. The focus of the game is on other aspects, such as cooperative gameplay and single-player challenges. The development team is constantly exploring new ideas and gathering feedback from the community to improve and expand the game in the future.
