There is no dialogue in the game and no user interface. Not a single mellow track. Rather, the sounds in the game provide an immersive experience. The type of room you're in affects the sounds and echo. In the water, walking moves more slowly. These elements all contribute to the tight mood and realistic feel of the game.

You may compare POOLS to an art gallery where you can explore while taking in the noises. There are really just a few mazes and not many other puzzles to solve. At times, the game may test your ability to navigate. But you're really just... there.
