Call of Duty Vanguard will be the new installment in the long-running FPS series. After the success of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare along with free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone, it is time for the new adventure.

Call of Duty

Activision released the very first Call of Duty game in 2003. It was supposed to compete with EA's Medal of Honor. The first installments in the Call o Duty series focused on World War II, so players followed the Allied armies, fighting as British, American, Polish, or Russian troops. Besides single-player campaigns, Call of Duty games has offered a vast range of multiplayer modes allowing gamers to play alongside other people from all over the world.

New battlefields

After releasing Call of Duty 3, the series started exploring other settings than the well-known WWII battlefields. The Modern Warfare subseries depicts contemporary conflicts. In Black Ops games, on the other hand, players take part in covered operations. Furthermore, Call of Duty took as to space with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This game, released in 2016, was set in the distant future; consequently, players could use futuristic weapons.

Call of Duty Vanguard

The 18th installment in the series hasn't been confirmed yet. However, it is teased in the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's Season 5 announcement. Rumor has it the new game will bring back the WWII settings. Nevertheless, no one knows if it will provide a realistic depiction of historical battles or an alternative timeline.

Of course, we may be sure that Call of Duty Vanguard will provide us with astounding graphics since it can use new graphic cards' and consoles' features. Furthermore, every Call of Duty game has emphasized multiplayer, so the new one will be no exception.
