Next Up Hero is a Gauntlet-style dungeon crawler starring hand-drawn heroes that hack, slash, shoot, drum, boomerang, jet, and explode their way through Ventures. Choose your Hero (and/or invite a friend to co-op) and start rolling dungeons, gearing out, and maxing your stats against the vile monsters known as the Ceaseless Dirge.

Even though I dislike dungeon crawler type of games, where the only thing one seems to do is grind repetitively with no end in sight, I have to admit this game is addictive in its own way. I like the different variety of characters to choose from, which enables me to try out different types of attack. The art style is also not bad and quite cute. I bought this game just to play with my friend, preferably local co-op (but it turned out this game only has online co-op), but overall, this game is quite worth is price, considering that I got it for less than $3. I give 3 stars because I really don't like dungeon crawlers and it is not local co-op but if you like it, this game might be 4-5 stars for you.
