Double Fine is an award-winning independent studio. Its main goal is making original games with funky graphics, exceptional stories, phenomenal characters and fun. You might ask, what will I find in Double Fine games? Everything weird in its own way. A mix of demonic hordes, game jams, giant robots, and at least one madcap dentist stealing brains. The studio was formerly founded by Tim Schafer along with LucasArts developers and its foundation was a desire to make games, not bound by ordinary limits. With their first project Psychonauts, they managed to achive it.
Psychonauts is the first Double Fine Studios project and it marked a beginning of an era. Although at one-moment fate of the game was hanging by the thread, the team managed to pull it off to the end. After the release, it took some time to get traction on the market, but in the end, it endured as cult-classic with an energetic and diverse fandom over 15 years later.
15 years after the original Psychonauts, the Psychonauts 2 got released. Combining even more quirky missions and mysterious conspiracies. It's a platform-adventure game with amazing cinematic style and tons of customizable psychic powers for Razputin "Raz" Aquato to choose from. And you bet is gonna need them while chasing his lifelong quest. His journey to make his dream come true will be filled with danger, excitement and laughs in equal measure.
Another worth mentioning event while at a Double Fine Production is Amnesia Fortnight. A two-week-long period when everyone in the team can pitch their idea for a game and the studio works on the most popular ones. It's a cradle of hits such as Costume Quest, Iron Brigade or The Cave.
